The Thai government began rolling out a brand new electronic lottery on Thursday (December 1). Noon Sansanakhom, Director of the Government Lottery Office of the country, said: Electronic lottery tickets were sold through the Paotang mobile app at 6:00 am on December 1st, with a retail price of 80 baht per ticket. As of 11:00 am, more than 110,000 people have bought the lottery ticket , on average, each buyer bought 4 or 5 lottery tickets.
Noon Sansanakhom said that the lottery can be purchased every day from 6 am to 11 pm, and the draw days on the 1st and 16th of each month can only be purchased before 2 pm. 5.27 million lottery tickets are issued for public sale in each issue, and there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased. The public can also go to 362 stores located in Bangkok, the central, eastern and northeastern regions to buy the lottery.
Noon Sansanakhom revealed that it is expected that from January 1, 2023, more and more stores across Thailand will sign up with them to represent the lottery.
The Paotang app is developed by Krungthai Bank and is widely used for financial services.
